Nashville, Super Speedway  April 13th

The Pepsi 300 ran without a hitch even though the skies threatened rain all day.  It was not a banner day for collections in terms of items for Project US; however, we did collect several hundred more cards and or notes to the soldiers, a couple of boxes of items; and a couple hundred dollars to purchase morale items.  We also learned a great deal for the next big collection near a racing venue.  We'll be searching for businesses wanting to donate shirts and hats with the Project US logo.  

As an update, Project US also garnered the support of free legal services to help with the paperwork involved in becoming an "official" non-profit chartered organization.  We also have established a checking account and are working on securing auditing/bookkeeping services through a regional business.  Stay tuned for more on that arena.

The next collection will be in Shelbyville on April 18th and 19th at their World Cup Horse Show. Keep listening to those great radio stations -- WWTN/WSM AM/FM for more details.
