Contact Steve Moore for more information at (931) 528-1177

Cookeville is hosting it's second major collection in support of Project US this Saturday.  The Cumberland Plateau really came through in a big way for our troops back in December with thousands of pounds of items delivered.  See the photos section of this site.  All this is made possible of course by the dedicated volunteers and some of the local businesses that are also helping in a big way.

Many thanks to:

Nash Moving and Storage, Clear Channel Communications--Country Giant--Magic 98,The Herald Citizen, Verizon Wireless, Arby's (Jefferson Avenue), Hardees (Jefferson Avenue), Putnam County Emergency management Agency, Tennessee Technical University Department of Military Science, OFFICEMAX, and Buckeye Sanitary Services.

Feb 23rd

We had a tremendous day on February 23rd.   Girl Scout Troup 2702 in Franklin delivered two pallets of morale items and dozens of letters and Cub Scout Pack 419 of Kenrose Elementary in Brentwood brought in an equally impressive load of goodies and notes.  Way to go!

Also, Cornersville, TN came through in a BIG way.  They brought in a tractor trailer loaded with more than 16,000 books!  Many thanks to Judy Roberts for helping coordinate this huge effort and to Cam Harmon of Harmon Scrap Metal for supplying the truck.  Please see the photos section to get an idea of what took place!  We need to empty the warehouse.

Mar 23rd

The next Nashville area collection will be held the Mar 23rd.  The Kroger Locations are: Brentwood, Murfreesboro on Memorial Blvd. , and Hendersonville. We will be collecting from 9:30AM-4:30PM. Be listening to those great radio stations WSM AM/FM and WWTN for details and of course email me if you'd like.

NEEDS: Volunteers to man the sites---especially Murfreesboro! If any of you have connections there, please let them know to call or write me. Thanks to all of you for making this work.

Many thanks for the volunteers who have already signed up to help with this effort and also to all the state 4H youth who will be supporting Project US as part of their state convention.
