Notes to the Troops
Dear Lt. Col. Randy Harmon
(Ret.), Please see that our military
troops get this letter and the enclosed messages as well as the many
contributions from the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department’s sworn
officers, civilian employees, their spouses, children and many friends of the
Nashville Police Department. Our
hope is that these letters and supplies will be able to reach our troops when
they come back from the front line to their staging area. Dear Troops: Can you hear us?
Well, look up. That’s right! We
are with you in spirit. You make us so proud!!
If you listen closely you will hear us cheering you on (after all, we are
the “loud and proud crowd” of Nashville. Tennessee). We are waving our flags
proudly for extra emphasis. We
don’t care if others think we are being foolish.
We are going to keep on yelling over the noise of the war to let you know
that we are not only here for you; we are with you all the way.
We are forever on your side. We have “not
forgotten” you or your families here at home. Thanks to the “real time”
24-hour news, our embedded reporters, and our radio talks shows we are right
with you when the bullets fly and the bombs explode. We are right here in our
living rooms, glued to the news, praying for your safety and marveling at your
bravery and skill. Thanks for standing in the
line of danger for us and fighting for our country. God bless you and God bless
the U.S.A.
